Memorial in Ireland for Those Lost at Sea

Monuments are designed to remember, inspire and create a place to contemplate. I am reflecting back on the monuments we created to honor not just one individual but an entire community. I look forward to designing and creating a monument for you and your community.

The Fisherman's memorial is hand carved in place on Inisheer, the smallest of the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland. It was created in collaboration with Sculptor Alexandra Morosco. The monument serves to remember those that the sea has taken. Especially island fisherman whose bodies were never found and could not be buried in the community cemetery.
