Celebrating six years of Kristin Sprague at KSSC

A mother-daughter stone carving shop.
Six years ago, Kristin Sprague joined Karin Sprague Stone Carvers. When I asked her to come on full-time, she was already assisting me with design revisions remotely living and working in New York, where she studied Graphic Design and French. The more we collaborated the clearer it became, that Kristin’s talent and intelligence were essential to the development of our stone carving shop. Today, she knows every aspect of how the business operates, from taking that first phone call from a family who has lost a loved one to installing a finished memorial at the cemetery. It is deeply rewarding to work alongside my daughter, to watch her grow into a confident leader, and to learn from her gifted design work.
“I will forever be discovering how to listen to people's stories,” acknowledges Kristin “and how to support the families we work with by creating art that memorializes their loved ones. There are so many ways to approach the design process. No two families who come to us are the same, have the same story, or the same experience. I am excited to keep working with Karin and about all there is to learn. The relationships she cultivates with the people we work alongside allow us to be part of an extraordinary community.”
With Gratitude,
Karin Sprague
